The Mexican 50 Pesos is a large and very interesting gold bullion coin.
On the obverse, a portrait of the Winged Victory (El Angel) is featured alongside
the year 1821, marking the first year of Mexico's independence.
The reverse features the Mexican coat of arms,
with an eagle holding a serpent in its beak while perched atop a cactus.
The coins were minted between 1921 and 1947; however more coins were restruck between the years 1949 - 1972 and dated 1947.
